Building Information
American Real Estate Partners is guided by a simple philosophy: “Identify opportunity, manage risk and create value”. We act solely as a principal, rather than an advisor or capital allocator. American Real Estate Partners, led by Douglas E. Fleit, Chief Executive Officer, and Brian L. Katz, President and Chief Operating Officer, invest alongside some of the most sophisticated institutional investors in the world. This complete alignment of interests is manifested by every investment its principals make.
American Real Estate Partners’ ability to identify opportunity is a function of experience and relationships. Each of our principals (Douglas Fleit and Brian Katz) and senior executives has extensive experience in real estate capital markets, acquisition, asset management, brokerage, development, construction and risk management. American Real Estate Partners’ decision-makers started their careers in commercial brokerage and learned the business from the ground up. We understand what tenants want and are able to structure transactions that satisfy their objectives while enhancing the value of our projects and that of our investors.
